On the first day of the seminar Brother Bernardo Oca, FSC and Brother Michael Broughton, FSC of DLSU addressed the seminar and NSTP as the venue for reflection for community development. While brother Broughton believes that NSTP contributes in the development of young minds and engaging them to be of service for others. He also stressed that in the service of NSTP it produces servant leaders exemplifying the attitudes of LESS FOR SELF, MORE FOR OTHERS and ENOUGH FOR ALL. He believes that everybody should engage to be part of the solutions NSTP are agent of change.

Former Senator Ramon Magsaysay was a guest speaker for NSTP and he himself is a Co - Founder of NSTP together with the late Senator Rene Cayetano year 2001, whereas he encourage everyone partner community, NGO, Facilitator and Implementer of NSTP to review the provisions of RA 9163. Professor Froilan Alipao of CDSP stressed that NSTP provide an opportunity for the 'tagpuan' (horizon, Perspective) that provides venue for social engagement and community development. He also give strong points that community development is a work force between the stakeholders and partners community.

A multi awarded student from PUP Jose Mari Pineda or Joma talks about how NSTP in his school able to surpass the challenges despite of having large population of students (70.000) and few teachers (2,000) with no budget for organizing activity for students in NSTP. He stressed that money its not a problem it how you think to create activities and projects for NSTP and community development, indeed he makes it possible by making various projects and activities for community development and sending the student leaders in different seminar and trainings.

Max Quijano from UST suggest that during the seminar that history of NSTP should be included in the modules, books even in the law. That on March 18, 2001 a cadet of UST ROTC was murderd and killed his hands and feet are tied in shoe lace, wrapped in carpet and was thrown in ilog pasig. Mark Welson Chua the whistle blower of the corruption of in the UST ROTC during his time. This event led to the abolishment of ROTC and was replaced by NSTP.

Professor Leocito Gabo told us the importance of breaking into community development of the NSTP, because a large number of volunteers comes from the NSTP, while Professor JM Olaco presented some of the projects of FEU in community which gave us a lot of new ideas in formulating our activities in our own partner community. UST Professor Ricarte Origenes one of the NSTP innovator presented the E - Learners an online program of NSTP in UST. CHED representative Engr. SIHM CELEBRATE TEACHER'S DAY 2012

The teachers are the foundation and backbone of every school and is celebrated all over the world. This day is a special day for the teachers to be appreciated and honored. The teachers day under Presidential Proclamation No. 479 to honor the of more than 500,000 teachers all over the Philippines. Teacher's Day is usually celebrated between the month of September and October.

They are considered the second parents and the school is the second home. They are the reason why we have engineers, nurses, doctors, businessman, psychologist, senators and president. Being a teacher is partly profession and 100% PASSION. No other can level up to their dedication in sharing their knowledge, expertise and half of their life to us.

I remember during my college years i was so afraid of this one particular professor, but he taught me so many things, to voice out what's on your mind and trust yourself. Well if not for him I may not be in my position now. Thank your Sir Reynaldo E. Yago

It was a Post Celebration of the SIHM for the Teachers Day. They have prepared so many dishes that is really tasteful and delicious. For the start we have a soup with vegetables and sweet potatoes. For our main dish we have baked potatoes, pasta, bread and baked cream dory that really melts in your mouth.

Thank you so much HRM students for honoring us and letting us be part of your college life!!
